We had been running a food share scheme from my office in Porth for some time. This involved sharing food donations from local supermarkets (Tesco, Aldi, Lidl, and Asda) that would have otherwise been thrown in the bin.
The Covid19 Lockdown restrictions stopped us being able to continue this from the office in Porth, and so we have started delivering food parcels to whoever asks for them from our new base at the Too Good To Waste centre in Treorci.
We have a team of volunteers who help collect, pack and deliver all the food but we always have room for more volunteers - especially in these times where volunteers have to suddenly drop out because they have been required to isolate.
We make up the food parcels and deliver them every Monday and Friday afternoon.
