The Assembly Member for the Rhondda has come down hard against Labour inertia when it comes to improving miscarriage support services.

After receiving a number of complaints about bus services in the Rhondda, Leanne got in touch with the Stagecoach Managing Director for Wales (see letter below). 

The Rhondda AM has called for Welsh Government intervention to boost youth services and tackle growing anti-social behaviour among young people.

The Rhondda AM has called upon the Labour politician in charge of the Welsh NHS to stop passing the buck following serious failings at a maternity department.

Reacting to the reports issued on the maternity department in Cwm Taf University Health Board, Rhondda AM Leanne Wood said: “This report is devastating reading for everyone that believes in a strong NHS. Mothers have been getting a service that is way below par for many years and now the services have been put into ‘special measures.’  

Experts have backed the Plaid Cymru call to devolve welfare administration to Wales.
